ATLANTA -- Detectives in Atlanta said the victim of a home invasion turned the tables on his intruder. Police said the homeowner shot and killed a man who was inside his home on Abner Place in northwest Atlanta just before midnight Thursday. Police say 69-year-old Ethel Jones shot 18-year-old Michael O'Neal Bynum in the abdomen when she said she found him inside her bedroom. CLEVELAND, Ohio -- A Cleveland man turned the tables on four robbers late Thursday, grabbing one their guns and shooting one of the suspects dead. The Cuyahoga County Coroner's office identified the dead man as Terrance Manning, 20, of nearby Central Avenue. He died shortly after midnight Friday at MetroHealth Medical Center. Manning was released from prison on Aug. 21 after serving two years on robbery and weapons charges, according to the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction. Johannesburg - Two men were shot dead by the owner of a taxidermy business after they robbed him in Randfontein, Gauteng police said on Tuesday. An off-duty Chicago police officer shot and killed a man who broke into his South Side home Friday morning, police said. The intruder, who police said was armed, had not been identified as of late Friday. PORTLAND -- A man was found dead of a gunshot wound inside a Northeast Portland home shortly before 7 a.m. Saturday. Police said the shooting was not gang-related.
